"Honoring, Continuing and Cultivating
the Legacy of Fine Arts in Taos"
In keeping with the Town of Taos’ marketing theme of “Return to the Sacred” and the Taos Gallery’s recent exhibition, “The Sacredness of Art”, accomplished pastel artist Issa De Nicola chose to title his new body of work “Sacred Journey.” An artist reception will be held at the taos gallery, Saturday, September 4th from 4-7 pm and the work will be on display through the end of September.
“I have chosen to title this show "Sacred Journey" because of the spiritual nature of my path as an artist.
Issa De Nicola's approach to painting can be described as one of openness to the mystery and
creative energy present in each moment. Steeped in light, color and mood, Issa's work reflects a
diverse range of style and emotion in a highly original and contemporary style. Some are soothing and meditative, others flamboyant with color and movement. An exploration of these and other artistic possibilities is evident to the many who follow his work. The results show a level of skill and originality worthy of the most discriminating art collector.
Issa also teaches for taos art experiences LLC, offering participants an opportunity to learn and practice the art of soft pastel painting in a holistic, fun and imaginative way.
